Burchetts green

I discovered this location after finding it listed on a popular rambling website. I liked this spot in particular because it had a bridge that I could use as a focal point for the image. I captured a total of 41 images during this shoot to make up my photo merge.

I decided after the initially required edits were complete (see “Images in post”) that I would try enhance the cyan colour of the grass and darken down the rest of the image to give a creepy atmosphere to my work. After this I remembered that I wanted to use the bridge as a focal point however after darkening the image down it seamed to blend in and loose its ‘pop’. So in Lightroom I would use the radial filter tool to try and highlight to footbridge and increase its clarity. This worked out well and I feel like the viewers eye will naturally be drawn to the bridge.

Pano-7

I like how rough the shape was of this final image. When I started these shoots i had to make a decision weather  crop all the finals into a ordinary shape or keep them like this, I decided to keep them raw. Looking at these piece I am very happy that i kept them like this, because if I was to crop them down you would loose so much of the image it wouldn’t illiterate the boundaries of human site. I also love how the sun was illuminating a cloud giving an amazing backdrop to the trees. Also the highlighted bridge over the stream really draws the viewers eye to the image.
