Wakefield Park I feel was my most successful shoot because of how well the final merge turned out and how eerie the location appears in the full spectrum of light.
This shoot consisted of 76 individually captured images, this was necessary as I was standing on a footpath in the middle of a forest. This meant I was a lot more close to my subject matter than in previous shoots. This wouldn’t normally be an issue but I only have one lens for my full spectrum camera and its a fixed 50mm. Meaning the images was fairly zoomed in as I was so close to the trees was photographing. This meant I couldn’t move the camera very far and still have it overlap with the last image taken ( a pre-requesit for capturing photo merges). So this meant I had to make several long passes, each time a pass was done either adjusting the camera up or down on my linear tripod. I also choose to capture the images mostly in portrait as I felt there was a lot more vertical information to be captured. However for certain tree tops I attempted to capture them in landscape to maximise the amount I could capture whilst reducing the amount of images I needed to take.
Also Wokefield park was captured over a in-human filed of view. The path to the left and right of the image are perfectly straight making the view from path to path 180 degrees, so estimate the whole image is somewhere between 180-200 degrees. which once compared to a humans field of view which is 114 degrees, shows you how large of an area this image covers and how its not possible to see it all at once with the naked eye
The final image was a massive 2.03GB before compression (necessary to upload it to WordPress).
one issue I encountered was between images 9511 – 9512 I moved the camera to far to the left and didn’t give it enough of an overlap to stitch together successfully. So I decided to slowly select parts of the seam and content fill it in. even close up you cannot tell the image was content filled (see below for zoomed in before and after)

This final was the most challenging to create but ended up my favourite image. It was so difficult because I was standing on a path in the middle of a forest trying to capture my images fir this merge. I had to take 76 images in total because I was so close and only had a 50mm lens for my camera. This meant capturing a large number of images to capture the entire landscape.
The image is beautifully focused in a way that not possible with ordinary photography, as a normal image is only focused at the centre of image and not the entire image. However as this is made up of several pictures they are all individually focused so the entire image is crisp and detailed.
The colours in this image are a very light purple for the trees with red hue to the sky, All the colours contrast but not in a way that makes the image confusing or to busy. In fact the colours match and compliment in a way that really enhances the image.
